• Almost 70% of the area of the State declared eligible for incentives
• Eligible talukas grouped into two categories giving wider choice of location
• Thrust Industries, Premier and Prestigious Units eligible for incentives all over the state except in a limited banned areas
• Electronic Industries eligible for incentives throughout the state
• Tiny units set up and managed by SC / ST / OBC / Women / educated unemployed youths offered cash subsidy at a higher rate than the small scale sector
• Chemical units now eligible for incentives in the Estates / Zones designated for the purpose
• Premier units eligible for sales tax incentives upto as much as 175% of fixed capital investment for a maximum period of 17 years
• Investments made by Premier & Prestigious units in social, common & public purpose infrastructure made eligible for incentives
• List of ineligible industries reduced to a minimum
• For pipeline cases, effective steps to be taken on expiriy of the scheme defined in advance
