environmental degradation by resorting to specific measures.
SERVICES:
- Provides
infrastructure facilities like plots of land/sheds, internal roads,
effluent disposal facilities, arrangement for supply of water and
power in the industrial estates
- Amenities
like fire stations, hotels and canteens, banks, post offices, housing,
schools, hospitals, shopping centres, etc. made available in major
developed industrial estates
- Develops
functional estates like the chemical estates at Ankleshwar, Panoli
and Vapi, an exclusive electronic estate equipped with satellite earthstation
at Gandhinagar, ceramic estate at Thangagh and Kadi, plastic processing
zone at Sarigam
- To
meet with the requirements of large industries, developed mega estates
at Vagra and Jhagadia in Bharuch district for chemical industries
and at Savli in Vadodara district for non-polluting industries
- Approved
257 industrial estates all over the State
- For
checking the menace of pollution, taken specific measures such as
developing effluent collection network, common effluent treatment
plants, disposal system for the treated effluents and tree plantation.
